About Tony Frontier PhD

Tony Frontier, PhD works with teachers and school leaders to prioritize efforts to improve student learning. He is an award-winning educator and best-selling author with expertise in classroom assessment, student engagement, curriculum development, intentional use of AI tools, and strategic planning. Accordingly, Frontier emphasizes a systems approach to support educator’s professional growth. He’s worked with hundreds of schools to develop their capacity to improve student learning.

Tony’s books include Five Levers to Improve Learning: Prioritizing for Powerful Results in Your School; Making Teachers Better not Bitter: Balancing Evaluation, Supervision, and Reflection for Professional Growth; Effective Supervision: Supporting the Art & Science of Teaching; Creating Passionate Learners: Preparing Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s World; and Teaching with Clarity: How to Prioritize and Do Less so Students Understand More. Tony has served as a classroom teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools, an Associate High School Principal, the Director of Instruction for the Whitefish Bay School District, and a college professor who taught PhD candidates statistics, research, and learning theory. Accordingly, Frontier brings practical experience and expertise to his workshops, writing, and research.
